Karonga Multi-Career Academy, a school that values sustainability and environmental protection, recently participated in the 1.5 Max Global Schools Summit 2022 organized by Mtuli Foundation and Sustainability Partnerships. The summit brought together students and educators from different countries to discuss ways to address the challenges of climate change and promote sustainable practices.

As part of their commitment to sustainability, Karonga Multi-Career Academy took action by planting trees in their school’s surroundings. Trees play a vital role in mitigating climate change as they absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, provide oxygen, and reduce the effects of greenhouse gases.

Additionally, planting trees can improve soil quality, reduce erosion, and provide habitats for wildlife.
By participating in the 1.5 Max Global Schools Summit 2022 and planting trees, Karonga Multi-Career Academy demonstrates its commitment to promoting sustainable practices and environmental protection. The school’s initiative not only benefits the environment but also serves as an example to other institutions and communities to take action towards a greener future.
